Hope for the Future Ministries prayer needs
Hope for the Future Ministries is at the front line for spiritual combat. As work of the ministry changes people's lifes, by supplying their physical needs, and/or leading them into a relationship with Jesus, it is obvious that the devil will do anything to attack the ministry.
People who support the ministry are asked not to just donate money, but to donate part of their prayer time to support the ministry.
The main areas that the ministry requests prayer for are:
Wisdom and unity for Pastor Diane Dunne and the board of directors.
When making decisions about the ministry, wisdom is often needed to ensure that everything the ministry does is effective. Thanks to God that the board are wise mature christians.
God to supply trustworthy teamworkers to help out at the ministry
When people offer to help out in the office or in the warehouse, the ministry needs these to be people with a heart for God that can be part of a team, that are efficient in what they do and can be armour bearers for the ministry.
People to continue to come to know Jesus through the ministry.
It is great that people are fed, but a person who is satisfied on earth, has a more important need, the need to know Jesus. The ministry sees it as a priority to lead as many people as possible to a decision to accept Jesus as their personal saviour.
As mentioned on the Financial Help page, the ministry costs over $4000 per week (2 years ago this was less than $3500) to run, and in the current financial climate, this is becoming more difficult to raise, leading to the ministry having to cut back in some areas.
Safety for workers on the street
Hope for the Future Ministries has an excellent safety record even though it works on the street where there is potential danger. Pray that the workers are kept safe from injury while working.
Provision of food
With the ministry serving over 700 plates of food and 2500 pantry bags per week, there is a need for good quality food that can be used by the ministry. There are currently many companies donating to the ministry but there is still a need for fresh bread, as well as the need for more food with the increasing numbers of people in need due to the economic climate.
